Businessmen Discuss Tax Levying Problems
The Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce has organised a forum that has discussed tax levying and problems related to it as general manager of the Federal Inland Revenue Authority, Beyene Bekele called on the business community to support the government effort in creating a proper and voluntary tax collection system.
The general manager cited lack of understanding the rules of taxation and the poor capacity of his authority in creating well-organised documentation as some of the problems in the tax levying process.
Beyene said the government has come up with a newly revised tax proclamation in an attempt to redress the problem.
